16th World Hereford Conference
The 16th World Hereford Conference took place in the city of Calgary,state of Alberta in Canada, began on Friday July 13 with the meeting of delegates from the 20 participating countries and ended on Wednesday 18 in Olds where
for three days took place the exhibition of the different categories as we'll see.
Friday July 13, Calgary;
In the morning a closed doors meeting was held by the delegates
which attended different issues about the World Hereford Council with a 21-point agenda. Among these were highlighted the ones relating to the finances of the Council, by unanimous vote the incorporation of Kazatastahn and Switzerlandas member countries and particularly the presentations of Mr.Ricardo Reilly and Mr. José Bonica.
First Reilly made a very detailed description of the
Uruguayan current situation ending with a great video and requesting the home-court for the next 17th World Hereford Conference in 2016, which was approved by unanimity.
Mr. Jose Bonica meanwhile held a power point presentation
very specific and very strongly convincing in which he requested the charge of
General Secretariat of the World Hereford Council which remained vacant.
Again facing the application of two other candidates, the voting favores Bonica, so from next December Mr. Bonica will hold that office for the first time will be
one of these latitudes. This brought great joy among the
Uruguayan participants that in a number close to 30, became
present in Calgary.
In the afternoon I developed, in open session to the realization of the
"Country report" that each country member does, in a
presentation of approximately 10 minutes.

years and really was very illustrative of the history and culture
Canadian with a show of high technical level and scale.
Sunday July 15 morning Remitall West;
Bryan Latimer's family welcomed us to the 30 Uruguayans in
establishment where we were shown great dedication to the livestock of
breeding and all the animals in preparation for various events
year, in what is particular to San Jose del Yaguarí highlighted the
Wonder to see the bull whose property shared with Latimer and his breeder
Kevin Schultz, USA. The bull was working with 30 cows and
was in excellent shape. The general comment from colleagues
present was the recognition of the qualities of Wonder as a
suitable for producing sire in our conditions the carrier
phenotypic characteristics and objective data now sought by
cabañeros and breeders. Then, once again showing great appreciation for
All Bryan and Annette Latimer nosostros hosted a luncheon where
share some very nice and relaxed.
Sunday July 15 afternoon, Harvies Ranching;

Uruguayan interests. In regard to the oath itself, hut
West Remitall achieving the grand champion male with a son of Wonder "Game
Day "and we saw who leave the reserve Champion Calf
Exposure of Agribition in November in Regina.
Struck by the degree of commitment to work both track
and outside of it that the boys share with their parents in order
to enhance the most of the effort involved in the preparation and implementation
to point to each of the animals presented.
Of note is the excellent staging of Uruguay stand with
a very good job of our Manager Daniel De Mattos with
invaluable support and contribution of INAC, represented throughout by
Ricardo Robaina.
Tuesday July 17], Olds;
Already on Tuesday morning began the oath of abieta
Mundia Conference with more than 320 animals on the track. It consisted of
bulls, polled males and females. the oath was done by a breeder
Canadian who did not use objective data, EPD, for
grade, we had a show that lasted all day without a break in the middle
day in which we saw very good track phenotypic level.
Animals very well shaped with great care and aplomb in the
gait.
Something that was important for us was the great care Uruguayan
of the udder in cows calving, which is justified by the high
temperatures newborn calves must endure from their
first moments of life and if you do not have a significant contribution
Breast milk must surely resent their development and viability
inmediadata.
Again the Wonder Latimer as the primary parent have been really
well on track and with 5 children of males and hemras Wonder,
